Birthday

I don't have any pictures, but we went out last night for my birthday. A big group of people joined us at a comedy club. I had a really good time and it was so nice to share time with my friends and family. I really felt like I was lucky to have so many good people around me. Thanks!

Life Group

We joined a life group from the church we have been going to. They are a really caring group. Today they had a family day at the park and it was a lot of fun. Joey got off early and we all had dinner there. I just think it is so important to spend time together. We don't get a lot of that and I know a lot of you guy's don't either. I think that taking a few hours a week to just be relaxed and together is so important. Maddie threw bread to the fish. Daddy told her they were nibbling fish so she didn't try to go in the water:)

Grandma's House

Wow another Easter Egg hunt. That is one busy bunny. We spent the afternoon at Grandma and Papaw's house. Maddie love to go there. She got a lot of eggs and was very happy to have all that candy. Grey Watched the action.
The whole gang. Impossible to get them all looking. Maddie and Grey are with cousins Alex and Ashlee. They had fun.
The girls had a great time and really get along great.
How sweet.

Easter Morning

The Easter bunny came and hid all those eggs. Maddie had so much fun collecting them. We celebrate Easter but we also know that it is a special day and we make sure that Maddie knows about Jesus and what he did for her.

Easter Eggs

Most of you know I love traditions and it is our tradition to color eggs the night before Easter. Even before kids I made Joey do it with me. Maddie loves to color eggs and we have a great time doing it. This is a first for Grey. He wasn't sure he liked the feel of eggs.
Oh he is sure he doesn't like the feel. He wanted to throw them like a ball.
Daddy thought he was really funny. He is such a good sport. He even colored some eggs.
Grey had his first taste of egg. I know a little early but he seems to tolerate them well. He didn't really like the dry yolk though.

Brookhaven Easter Party

We went to Joey's work to have an Easter egg hunt and party. Maddie looked so sweet in her dress and had a great time with her friends. Grey has a great time anywhere!!
He loved the Easter Bunny
Here is Maddie and Erin. They are a pair of big girls now!
Grey had to have an egg. He is feeling much better now thank for all the good thoughts. We hope we have turned the corner on good health.

Grey's Ear Tubes

Grey had ear tubes put in yesterday. He did great. He woke up screaming but calmed down pretty fast. The nurses said he was really strong when he was mad :) We are hoping this will help him stay healthier. Thanks so much for all your support. It has been a hard new year for us but it is looking brighter. No wheezing since Feb 4th and that is a great big blessing. Thanks again for your prayers and good wishes.

While Daddy and Maddie played I took Grey into the flower beds. I am sure that the superintendant loves babies in his flowers. I just love tulips but not as much as I love this little guy he is my sweet sweet boy. I am so lucky to have two children that are so different and so unique. My fire ball Maddie and my gentle one here. I wouldn't change either of them I have to remind myself that even the trying times are good times. I have felt bad lately with Grey being sick I haven't given Maddie much attention. Hopefully that is will change as Grey has been very healthy lately 41 days without a wheeze. We are having ear tubes on Friday and hopefully he will stay well.

Golfing with Daddy

The kids were missing daddy so I took them up to the course to visit in between lessons or meetings. Maddie really wanted to golf today she hasn't shown much of an interest but she did today and she did really well. OK I know it is a little early but he is so into balls and anything sports related. Crazy at 10 months he hyperventilates when he see a ball in the store. He wanted so bad to try it out and Joey showed him a few tricks. No holes in one yet but hopefully our own little tiger has begun :)
Sweet picture. Notice the ball firmly in his hand. He wouldn't let it go all day.
Look at that form. Everyone walking by was laughing and of course had a comment.

More science place

Aunt Megan and Tate watched the dinosaurs. Tate growled at them. Oh really good news Megan is expecting we just found out and are very excited. Maddie in front of the big fossils
Grandpa and Grey had fun on the lego table.
Tate was a handful in the water play area
Grandpa had a lot of fun with his grandsons. It was a really fun trip.

Working vacation

Here is Great Grannie and Grey. We had a great time visiting her. We had a lot of fun seeing her new house.
We went on this trip to help my mom fix up the house that they are selling. We painted this wall many times and in the end it is brown not barn red. Notice Maddie painting in the corner. She is such a big helper and really liked to paint. We went to a science museum and Maddie had great fun on a submarine tour. She even asked the tour guide a question. It was sweet and fun to be in a real sub.

They had a dinosaur exhibit from China. Maddie loves dino's

Snow Snow Snow

Maddie could hardley wait to try out the snow. It was very deep and lots of fun. I got stuck and no I won't show those pictures and I had to roll out. Not a pretty site. Tate thought the snow was fun but he was a little unsure of it and wasn't sure he liked the cold.
This is my handsome brother Alex. Wow he is all grown up now. He is amazing with my kids and I miss him so so much.

Grannie's house

We made it to Portland and stayed the night with my Granny. She sold her house that she had built with my Grandpa John this year and it was a bitter sweet goodbye. But now she lives in an amazing high rise in the heart of the city and can walk across the street to the museum. Change is hard but it is also good. I try to remind myself that it is so important to look for the positives and not let the negatives weigh you down. Life is too short not to make the most of what we have.
The boys loved looking out these windows. We were on the 8th floor a little scary for mom but really nice view.
We celebrated Grannies birthday and there are few things that Maddie likes better then cake.

Oh and one thing better then cake is her absolute favorite food (if you can call it that) doughnuts. Grandpa brought them for dinner and won huge points from Maddie.

Plane Ride to WA

I was very nervous to take this trip by myself. I was worried about Grey's ears and Maddie's new found temper tantrums. I was so happy that things went well. I had the greatest flight attendant on the way to Wa. She had Maddie with her most of the time and Maddie couldn't have been happier. Here she is passing out peanuts and she wasn't very happy when people said "no" Ok a little side note. I think we all need a rescue flight attendant once in a while. I thought to myself how can I be a better person and help others. I tend to get so wrapped up in my life I forget about others. My friend said they started a very good game each night. You go around and ask each other what they did nice for someone today. Try it and if you find you have to think hard about something you did maybe it is time to change that. Maddie treated me like any other customer and didn't even act like I was her mom. It was a business for her:)
Now this is the way to fly with a baby. I was very scared because he had an ear infection and was on a nursing strike due to a sore mouth. We lucked out and my boy was a gem.
