Day at the park

We went to a fun birthday party and then spent some time with friends at a park. Grey loved the ducks and made me crazy getting so close to the edge. Not water you would want to swim in.

Maddie went on a paddle boat ride with her friends. The little boy on the left is so in "love" with Maddie and talks about her all the time. On the morning of the park trip she informed me that she was not going to marry him she was going to marry "Peyton" a little boy who left her old daycare almost 2 years ago. Oh boy I am not ready for this kind of talk yet!!

Green Tips

"The Dirty Dozen" I know that organic foods can be really expensive but here is a list of 12 items that carry the highest level of residue, pesticides and other dangerous contaminations. Apples, Cherries, Grapes (imported Chili), Nectarines, Peaches, Pears,Raspberries,Strawberries,Bell peppers,Celery ,Potatoes,Spinach. Even after washing these items still hold on to bad things. If you can buy organic for these items. If you can't at least buy a good vegetable wash and really follow the directions( leaving it on for several minutes)

I have been trying to change some simple things to make our family more "Green" I think we should all try to work at making our earth and our families a little more healthy. I am going to try to post simple household tips that I find in my own journey. I hope you will try some of them out.
