Happy Birthday Grey

Grey turned one on Saturday and we had a big party for him. I was so excited to share Greys happy day with so many good friends and family. We are really really blessed to have both of our children and I love to celebrate their lives with everyone. Life is so precious and wonderful I can't wait to watch them grow up. Ok It can slow down just a little. In a blink they will be all grown up and moving out. To the house next door of course :) Grey was a little unsure at first and then got down to business. He ate a lot of cake.
Such a sweet boy wanted to share!

He had enough sugar to last a week!
Maddie loves the frosting. She has developed a sweet tooth it seems.
Grey sharing with Grandpa

More Birthday!

Aunt Tonya, Brian and Alex eating in the sun. Thanks for sharing in Grey's special day.
Grandma and Cousin Alex! Thanks for the yummy pasta salad Grandma.

My dad did a great job on the grill. We had yummy food!!!
Grey rode this train for a long long time. We thought it was funny how he put his arms out and just laid back for the ride.

He had fun in the ball pit.
Sweet cousin Ashlee!!
My friend Bea and Betsy. Grey really took to her and wanted to go to her everytime she saw him.

Grandpa was in town

We had such a great week. My dad came into town to visit. Maddie was really excited to play hookie from school and play with Grandpa. They baked cookies and a cake. Walked a mile each way to McDonalds to eat and play. The buried a poor rabbit in the yard and played in the water hose. And on and on. He was really tired after the first day. Maddie had to show him everything in the house. It was really a great time. I haven't had a time like this with my Dad for a long time. We miss him already!!! Love you Dad! Maddie got to pick an ice cream. It took us a long time but she settled on my least favorite character Spongebob!
The ice cream man gave Grey a push up and it was so messy.
He is a sweet boy and wanted to share with me. It would have been rude to turn him down.
Maddie looks like a beat up kid from the streets but man did she like that icecream.

Birthday Party season

We have had so much fun lately going to birthday parties. Grey had a great time at pump it up playing in the cars. He is afraid of the jump house. His terrible mom must have scared him so bad on a previous visit :) Give the boy a ball and that is All!!! He loves balls and fought hard to keep this one.
My sweet girl had the best time!

Dress up and fun

Maddie really likes to dress up now. She asks to wear costumes out all the time. I think It is fun to let her explore and imagine. She has always been pretty shy and I think it is a big step for her. She was a unicorn in this picture in case you can't tell. We all worry about what people might say or think. Can you imagine walking into work with a costume on or to the grocery store in clown shoes. I don't know it might be fun!!! Who said we can't keep the kid in us alive. Of course my little tomboy wanted a viking helmet.
Erin and Maddie both dressed up. We didn't plan it and they were getting a lot of attention.
Grey thought the girls were really funny.

Surprise pictures

Hello, we were shopping at Babies r Us tonight for a BPA free cup!!! Yes I am on the band wagon for this cause. I am going to try to start an informational blog related to health in the near future. I think in my field I come across some really great research and information I would like to share with all my friends and especially with my friend who are parents and unsure about all the stuff out there. Anyway a man in training asked to take Grey's picture for free and I got one 8by10. I thought it would be a fun thing . I think they turned out pretty cute.

Arena Football

We took Uncle Alex to an arena football game. It was fun. Grey was a little scared of the heights. Maddie was a wild women. She used my nursing wrap as a cape and tried to fly. She can't quite get it and asks over and over again why she can't do it even though her arms are flapping.
Grey was very happy to have this ball. It was one of other guests. He thought it was great!!!

Then.....
The guy took it away. He broke Grey's heart!
He just couldn't handle it and flung himself down. Even in his gentle tantrum he is so sweet.

Dallas Zoo

We had a great time at the zoo. Maddie was afraid to feed the sting rays but she did like watching mom do it.
Everyone always says I never put myself in these posts. So here is one!!!
This is Patrick, he is getting two new lady friends later this month. We had fun being so close. I kissed the glass and made him mad and he left. I guess I am not his type.

Fun With Uncle Alex

We were so excited to have my little brother visit. The kids love their Uncle Alex. He hit some golf balls with Grey and Joey and is actually a pretty good player. Alex has always been very special to me. I am almost 17 years older then he is but I love spending time with him. Joey and I are amazed at how much Grey loves anything related to balls. He will hit these golf balls for as long as we will let him. He is very serious about it. I think he has some of his daddy's love of sports.
We did a lot of mall hopping. The kids love the carousal
