Dress up and fun

Maddie really likes to dress up now. She asks to wear costumes out all the time. I think It is fun to let her explore and imagine. She has always been pretty shy and I think it is a big step for her. She was a unicorn in this picture in case you can't tell. We all worry about what people might say or think. Can you imagine walking into work with a costume on or to the grocery store in clown shoes. I don't know it might be fun!!! Who said we can't keep the kid in us alive.

Of course my little tomboy wanted a viking helmet.

Erin and Maddie both dressed up. We didn't plan it and they were getting a lot of attention.

Grey thought the girls were really funny.

Green Tips

"The Dirty Dozen" I know that organic foods can be really expensive but here is a list of 12 items that carry the highest level of residue, pesticides and other dangerous contaminations. Apples, Cherries, Grapes (imported Chili), Nectarines, Peaches, Pears,Raspberries,Strawberries,Bell peppers,Celery ,Potatoes,Spinach. Even after washing these items still hold on to bad things. If you can buy organic for these items. If you can't at least buy a good vegetable wash and really follow the directions( leaving it on for several minutes)

I have been trying to change some simple things to make our family more "Green" I think we should all try to work at making our earth and our families a little more healthy. I am going to try to post simple household tips that I find in my own journey. I hope you will try some of them out.
