Happy Birthday Grey

Grey turned one on Saturday and we had a big party for him. I was so excited to share Greys happy day with so many good friends and family. We are really really blessed to have both of our children and I love to celebrate their lives with everyone. Life is so precious and wonderful I can't wait to watch them grow up. Ok It can slow down just a little. In a blink they will be all grown up and moving out. To the house next door of course :)

Grey was a little unsure at first and then got down to business. He ate a lot of cake.

He had enough sugar to last a week!

Maddie loves the frosting. She has developed a sweet tooth it seems.

Green Tips

"The Dirty Dozen" I know that organic foods can be really expensive but here is a list of 12 items that carry the highest level of residue, pesticides and other dangerous contaminations. Apples, Cherries, Grapes (imported Chili), Nectarines, Peaches, Pears,Raspberries,Strawberries,Bell peppers,Celery ,Potatoes,Spinach. Even after washing these items still hold on to bad things. If you can buy organic for these items. If you can't at least buy a good vegetable wash and really follow the directions( leaving it on for several minutes)

I have been trying to change some simple things to make our family more "Green" I think we should all try to work at making our earth and our families a little more healthy. I am going to try to post simple household tips that I find in my own journey. I hope you will try some of them out.
