It finally happened the butterflies "were born" as Maddie says. We took them outside to let them go. Maddie was very happy with this. I thought she would be upset but she was excited to let them fly away.
She held them and told each one goodbye.
Here is a picture of one. They were very pretty. We had a little issue. It appears that out of our 5 butterflies 2 were special needs. One just won't fly and the other one has messed up wings. We will keep both of them in the net and let them live out their lives right here with us. I am glad that there are two so one is not left alone. This was a great experience. I think that sharing things like this with the kids is a precious gift. Life is so fragile and important, it is never to early to teach a child that. She thanked God for her
butterflies tonight and I thank God for such a sweet girl.
