Madeleine's Room

Hello as many of you know I have been very slow at getting Maddie's big girl room finished. We are finally working on it and It has been so fun to do this together. I keep telling myself It is only paint :) She is actually very good at painting and she stays in the lines for the most part. She wants a safari, jungle like room. She is her mother's daughter !! Her order is pretty big I hope we can get it right.

The finished product. I think it turned out great.

Green Tips

"The Dirty Dozen" I know that organic foods can be really expensive but here is a list of 12 items that carry the highest level of residue, pesticides and other dangerous contaminations. Apples, Cherries, Grapes (imported Chili), Nectarines, Peaches, Pears,Raspberries,Strawberries,Bell peppers,Celery ,Potatoes,Spinach. Even after washing these items still hold on to bad things. If you can buy organic for these items. If you can't at least buy a good vegetable wash and really follow the directions( leaving it on for several minutes)

I have been trying to change some simple things to make our family more "Green" I think we should all try to work at making our earth and our families a little more healthy. I am going to try to post simple household tips that I find in my own journey. I hope you will try some of them out.
